A CPM device provides Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) to a joint and is the perfect complement to your physiotherapy treatment for quicker and better recovery. The joint is moved constantly and passively using a motorised machine.
It automatically moves your painful ankle to improve blood circulation, help cartilage healing, and prevent the joint from stiffening. By keeping the ankle in frequent motion – without any effort on your part – you also prevent adhesions in the capsule and ligament structures, stimulate the lymphatic system, and strengthen the ligaments.
And all of that, of course, in a safe way. When you rent a CPM device for the ankle, a physiotherapist will install it at your home. By setting the machine correctly and providing professional advice, we make sure you use it properly and avoid compensatory movements.
